ABOUT
“How wonderful it is that nobody need to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne FrankHistory
Since opening our doors in 1982, ACCORD, A Center for Dispute Resolution, Inc., has been serving the Southern Tier of New York. We have proudly helped thousands of individuals, families, and organizations discover peaceful alternatives to conflict through mediation and many other services including training and advocacy.
In 1998, ACCORD incorporated the Voices for Children/Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program which helps to vastly improve the lives of children at risk of abuse or neglect. Today, ACCORD reflects on the last 37 years of serving our community and empowering the people that make up Broome and Tioga counties with a keen sense of pride.
Our story has evolved based on our continual effort to build stronger relationships within the Southern Tier while moving us toward a culture of peace, understanding, and open communication.
